About Me

Understanding Real Estate Issues About a year ago, I began thinking about unloading my existing property and getting a new house. Unfortunately, I wasn't really sure where to start, so I turned to a friend of mine who specialized in real estate. They walked me through the entire process of selling a house and investing in a new one, and I was really impressed with how much of a difference they made in my process. I began working hard to get things taken care of, and within a few months I was able to completely transform my finances with the sale of my home.

Why Working Out Of A Home Office Is Not A Good Idea

So, you are a small business owner that started a business out of your home. That is great, but you may quickly discover that this does not exactly work, especially if your home office space is not completely separate from all the rest of the rooms in your house. Here are several reasons why working from home in your home is not a good idea and why you need to have a separate office space moving forward.

Noise

Between the kids running around after school and making noise on the weekends, and your significant other doing household chores, there is a lot of background noise in a home office. Even if your customers or clients never interact with you over the phone, the noise is still distracting to whatever you are attempting to complete on a daily basis.

Too Many Interruptions

If you have a spouse and kids, you probably have already experienced what happens when you are home but not supposed to be "present" for them. They know you are home but do not understand that they are not supposed to interrupt you. There are continuous interruptions with your spouse and kids asking you to do things, or needing help, or requiring mediation in a situation that might otherwise create a problem for your work flow. If you were not at home and trying to work, your spouse would have to resolve these issues on his/her own, as would the kids.

Constantly at Home and Never Really Feel Like You Are at Work

Working at home and working from home often makes you feel like you never go anywhere. You may develop cabin fever from constantly being inside and never going out. People go to work to get out of the house, and they come home to get away from work. It is not as though you want to get away from either place; it is more about having clearly defined boundaries between home and work.

The Solution: Office Space Rental

When you need to have clearly defined work and home boundaries, and you want to have a place to go that is quiet and more conducive to work, you can rent an office space. You can still work from home when you want and/or need to, but with a rented office space you can go somewhere else for work, too.
